I am super delighted to announce that I have signed a contract with Invisible Publishing for my debut book translation project, featuring modern and contemporary Chinese poetry in translation, forthcoming in spring 2024.
I have always dreamed of a project like this ever since my first attempt at poetry translation during a multi-genre craft workshop with Keith Maillard. It’s a project that I’m really excited to share with the Sino diaspora and lovers of Chinese literature and modern poetry.
I want to thank Khashayar Mohammadi for all their editorial insights and support along the way. Shout out to my sworn sister Lea Taranto and the many, many friends who have served as beta-readers or kindly shared publishing advice over the past year. It’s so deeply appreciated.
As some of you might remember, I was originally planning to release a poetry translation chapbook this year, but the project didn’t work out. So happy that the project has found a new home and will be returning in an expanded book form.
